Temperamental at cold starts

Postby johnnyb46 » Mon Aug 10, 2015 6:39 pm

Hi to all.
My peugeot speed fight is a little temperamental at starting from cold. I have replaced the plug and tried different grades of fuel but it still refuses to start first or forth attempt on the starter. I have recently noticed though that if I open the throttle fully then close it before i attempt to start it , it fires up first time every time. Is this the normal thing to do with a bike that's got an automatic choke .
Its obviously not a problem for me to do this but I'm just a little curious as to whether its the right thing to do ( or if its norm.
Many thanks for reading
