Re: Peugeot Speedfight immobiliser

This is a strange one . After a few weeks of use I've noticed the immobiliser light also acts as a low fuel light. As the petrol gauge gets nears the red, the light comes on. After trawling the internet there is no info of this feature and nothing is mentioned in the hand book either. Could this be ...

Temperamental at cold starts

Hi to all. My peugeot speed fight is a little temperamental at starting from cold. I have replaced the plug and tried different grades of fuel but it still refuses to start first or forth attempt on the starter. I have recently noticed though that if I open the throttle fully then close it before i ...

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

Hi Bluehaze. At the moment my Scooter seems to be running very well. I cant believe how cheap it is compared to my car to run. Speed is not the on my priority lists buddy to be honest. I have though managed to get around 60mph on a short burst just to clear it out but its happiest doing around 45mph...

Peugeot Speedfight immobiliser

Hi to all. While out blowing the air through my hair tonight ( more like strands ) on my little speedy , about 10 miles into my journey the immobiliser light came on and stayed on for the rest of my 15 mile ride. The little scooter carried on going though without any issues. I fact when I got home a...

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

Today while waiting for the lioness ( the good lady wife ) to finish work and give her a lift home on my scoot I was casting a critical eye over the suspension parts. All though the little Peugeot is as near as dam it immaculate there are a few age related issues .The springs and shocks are now 16 y...

What do you consider a high mileage

Hi again.. As the title above suggests , what do you consider a high mileage for a small 100 / 125 scooter..My speedfight 100cc 2t has just turned the 1000 mile and was wondering how many miles it would clock up before a rebuild would be needed. Come on everyone and put your two pence worth in..Its ...

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

Now you come to mention it I now recall the previous owner telling me to switch the fuel tap after use as it floods the carburettor out.

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

I've never been a fan of Face Book. I have seen so many people get sucked into its cyber world and in turn watch relationships break down. Anyway less of the doom and gloom lol..I just went out to start my scoot half expecting it to give me problems. After a turn on the starter it fired up nice and ...

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

Hi and thanks for advising me on this..As you recommend I will get a spare plug on Monday and keep it under the bike seat just in case the one in use plays up. While I'm here having a natter I would just like to say how much I'm enjoying reading the Twist & Go magazine. It's perfect reading for ...

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

Hi again.... Today's been wall to wall sunshine again so out came the Scooter for a bit of fun. Unfortunately the only fun and games I had was trying to get it going..For the best part of ten minutes I tried in vain to get it going but it was not having any of it. I'm not the brightest bulb in the p...

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

Its been another glorious day weather wise and the temptations to great to resist not going out for a ride...The wife's settled down to watch her soaps on the tv which leaves me some free time to go out for a ride. I topped the oil up with some Castrol scooter 2t oil ( Wilkos for £8 a litre ) and fi...

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

The little scooter is now performing faultlessly. Even two up it goes well. I did around sixty odd miles yesterday and it never complained once..I tend to travel at around 45 mph as I fear 50 is over revving it a little to much ( or am I being over cautious ?? ) The only gripe I have with it is the ...

Re: My new Peugeot Speedfight 100

Hi again. Just a quick update on my Peugeot Scoot.. I've nipped up the plug terminal and checked the fuel tank breather system..I took the fuel cap off and tried to blow through the tiny hole which I think is for equalising the pressure in the tank when the fuel drops down. I was hard to impossible ...
