Re: Peugeot Speedfight immobiliser

I wouldn't worry. It's one less (very expensive) thing to go wrong.

Using the boa lock connected to something fixed to the ground/wall is a much better thing than any immobiliser, or alarm come to that.

Just for the record, they have keyless ignition on the Satelis mk2 and the Metropolis.

I think all keys since the Speedfight have had electronicals in them.

Re: Honda Forza 125 Launch

Now the Nmax is here, with ABS included for the same price, I reckon the Forza 125 is stuffed.

Re: Peugeot Scooters-The Great British Rip-Off

Sorry for coming to this late but I haven't been on here for ages. I was a big fan of Pugs, having bought 2 Elystars and 2 Satelis from new between 2002 and 2009. I had to buy a 3rd Satelis 250 as used due to shortage of funds. But in recent years, not only have they abandoned ABS brakes (a big USP ...

Re: Kawasaki Scooter J300

I know. I'm waiting for delivery of my SE-ABS. Dealer thinks it should be here for the new Reg Plate.

Re: New Kawasaki J300 Scooter

I know the quoted weight is 190kgs but it felt fine moving it around and it was easy on/off the centre stand (it has a side stand too). The seat was comfortable and certainly not so hard that I noticed. I too would have liked the Citystar in 200cc form, so long as it had (of course!) ABS and decent ...

Re: New Kawasaki J300 Scooter

The bottom line is that I've ordered a J300 SE-ABS. If I recall correctly what the salesman said I think there will only be 8 coming to the UK for the foreseeable future. Which is interesting as there was another guy in the showroom looking over a J300 and asking about ABS..... I wonder if Kawasaki ...

Re: New Kawasaki J300 Scooter

Thanks.

Due to test ride one in around half an hour. Bit worried about the foot space as I am used to a Satelis with plenty, but otherwise I think I'm going to love it.

Re: New Kawasaki J300 Scooter

Kawasaki UK have relented. Well done them!

Following customer and journalist comments they are bringing in some J300 SE with ABS priced at £4499.

Once my dealer confirms he can get one, I'm putting my money down.

Re: New Kawasaki J300 Scooter

From what I can tell the j300 only has abs as an option whereas the honda forza it's standard so value will depend a little on how much the extras are. (Assuming you want abs of course) I'm so annoyed at Kawasaki UK I thought I would ensure that the news I had today gets prominence. UK models will ...

Re: Kawasaki Scooter J300

Resurrecting an old thread as I've just had a reply to an enquiry to Kawasaki UK. And very sad it is. Thank you for your enquiry dated 11 January 2014. We can confirm the new Kawasaki J300 Scooter will not be available with ABS. We are pleased to confirm the J300 are currently being delivered to our...

For Sale - Peugeot Satelis 250 Executive

First registered March 2009, new MOT, 31k miles. £1900ono. I have owned this bike from new and it has taken me to and from work for the past 3 years. It starts and runs beautifully and everything works as it should. The scooter maxes out at a real 82mph (so I am told...) and I get between 80 and 90m...

Re: Running costs: Scoot vs Car

Although the road tax and insurance should be an awful lot lower than your car, for your journey profile I would say that a scooter is NOT worth considering. Mind you, for the price of a 5yr old car you can get a decent new scooter so you would at least save on the MOT. :) Although the latest genera...

Re: 125cc choice down to 3! What do you think...

The Tweet and Vivacity are not both Chinese. The Vivacity is a totally French design built to Peugeot's own domestic standard in China. The Tweet is essentially a re-badged Taiwanese Sym Symphony. BTW the LXR is a Sym HD and the "lesser" Peugeots based on existing Chinese Baotian models ha...
